Carol Grim Jenkins graduated from The Ohio State University College of Nursing with her bachelor's degree in 1964 and her master’s degree in 1978. While working at St. Rita’s Hospital in Lima, Ohio, helped to establish the staff development department and became involved in the Ohio Nurses Association. Her affiliation with ONA spanned her career and she served as director from 1989-1999. Jenkins was a strong advocate for nurses’ professionalism, proper credentials for nurses and expanding the parameters of nursing.

The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised reading room.
