            <head>Biography</head>
            <p>Richard Nelson is a graduate of the Ohio State University College of Medicine and completed his emergency medicine residency at Summa Akron City Hospital. He has served as President of the Ohio Chapter American College of Emergency Physicians as well as President of the Columbus Medical Association. He was President of the American Board of Emergency Medicine in 2011-2012 where he also chaired the Initial Certification Task Force and the Test Development Committee. He is a Delegate from Ohio to the American Medical Association House of Delegates. He has served as Medical Director of Emergency Medicine and Hyperbaric Medicine at OSU, and also served as Vice Chair of Clinical Affairs for a number of years. He currently is Medical Director of Morehouse AfterHours Care Clinic. His academic and research interests include environmental emergencies, disaster preparedness, hyperbaric medicine, testing and simulation technology, and medical-legal and legislative issues in emergency medicine.</p>
