Statement of Arrangement
This collection is arranged in two series:
- Series I: Certificates
- Series II: Diplomas
Series I: Certificates (1 box) contains certificates. Many of the certificates are for the doctors whose diplomas are in this collection. Two items of note include Articles of Incorporation for Starling-Ohio Medical College and Ohio Medical University. This series is arranged chronologically.
Series II: Diplomas (1 box) contains diplomas. Most of the diplomas are for The Ohio State University’s College of Medicine predecessor schools specifically Ohio Medical University and Starling Medical College. This series is arranged chronologically.
Restrictions on Access
The collection is open to the public and is available for viewing in the Medical
Heritage Center. Materials do not circulate and must be used in the supervised
reading room. Restrictions, including copyright, may exist and some materials may be
too fragile to photocopy or digitize. The MHC charges for duplication services,
which must be performed by staff.
