            <p>Miloje Sokic (1897-1963) was a journalist for the Pravda Newspaper, which his family owned. He lived in the United States during the 1940s and collected newspaper articles on the Balkans.</p>

            <head>Scope and Contents</head>
            <p>This collection consists of 11 scrapbooks compiled by Miloje Sokic dating between 1941-1945. The scrapbooks consist of clippings from newspapers in the United States of America regarding the events in the Balkans during World War II and extend to the post-war era in 1946. The articles reflect American views on the events and people of the Balkans during this time and include many types of articles and reports. Also included is the November 1955 edition of the Yugoslav Observer.</p>
