            <head>Biographical Note</head>
            <p>Ted "Mike" Mikos was cartoonist during World War II. His feature, Private Puns was published in the Golden Gate Guardian while he was stationed in San Francisco. Mike Mikos was how he signed his works. When he was in the military, he sent out requests to cartoonists asking for their art. He received the original art he requested, much of which was inscribed to him.</p>
