Michael T. Gilbert is an American comic book artist writer who has worked for both mainstream and underground comic book companies. Gilbert is best known for creating the comic book, "Doc Stearn... Mr. Monster," a creation based on a character created earlier by Fred Kelly. Gilbert has also worked extensively with DC Comics and Marvel Comics while also currently working as a scriptwriter for Disney Comics.

Audiovisual materials containing interviews, discussion panels, and front cover artwork are available as well as correspondence, newspaper articles,editorials, and other related papers. This collection also includes color notes and panels, rough draft and final panel sketches, artwork, proofs, and original cover layouts. Additional items include textiles such as a character sweater and shirt and memorabilia from a crossover contract with DC.
