Photograph Collections in Rare Books & Manuscripts

The photograph collections housed in the Rare Books and Manuscripts Library are rich in variety, quality and number.  Some, but not all, of these works are included in an online database.  Some are represented by records in the Libraries' catalog, or included in finding aids with manuscript collections, such as those associated with the James Thurber and John Bennett Collections.  Others have yet to be cataloged.  All will eventually be represented in a new database created with museum-oriented software, which will include thumbnail images.  In the interim please check here for links to the various finding tools, and visit the Special Collections reading room to consult the new database, which is not yet on the web.

Watch the RBMS blog for periodic posts on our photographic collections.
