RIdIM at Ohio State

The Ohio State University Music & Dance Library hosts the Editorial Center for the database of the Répertoire International d'Iconographie Musicale (RIdIM), an international project focused on the cataloging and study of visual materials relating to music. Database editing activities are coordinated by the Center in consultation with Association RIdIM and its Database Working Group.

The primary editing staff are:

Project Coordinator: Alan Green (Ohio State University)

Editor-in-Chief: Sean Ferguson (Ohio State University)

Associate Editors: Michael J. Duffy IV (Western Michigan University) and Jarod Ogier (Ohio State University)

The primary activities of the Editorial Center are:

* Providing database quality control and maintaining authority lists of names, places and terms

* Cataloging art works in the RIdIM database

* Communicating with RIdIM catalogers around the world to provide training, guidance and general support

* Creating and revising documentation to support RIdIM cataloging

* Providing testing and feedback for the ongoing database development process
