Join us for a panel discussion exploring the newly released The Revised Boy Scout Manual by William S. Burroughs.
In this experimental, funny, and unsettling work, Burroughs offers a startlingly prescient critique of institutionalized power and government corruption. Based primarily on archival material from OSU’s Rare Books and Manuscripts Library, The Revised Boy Scout Manual has never before been published in its complete form.
Editors Geoffrey D. Smith and John M. Bennett, OSU Press Director Tony Sanfilippo, and Curator of American Literature Jolie Braun will discuss the process of recovering and editing this previously unpublished work and why it remains relevant today.
This event is free and open to the public.
