Have you ever wondered what people used to eat or found an old recipe you wanted to try? During this workshop, you will make your own personalized cookbook by exploring, selecting and compiling historical recipes from the Rare Books & Manuscripts Library’s cookbook collections.
This event is held in conjunction with the exhibit, “Essential Ingredients: Cookbooks as History,” located in the Thompson Library Gallery (room 125) from Aug. 20, 2024 – Jan. 5, 2025. Exhibit curators Jolie Braun and Elizabeth Hewitt will lead the workshop and chat about cookbooks and insights from the exhibit.
