Studies indicate that students use a limited number of search tools and search strategies, even if they may not be the most appropriate ones for their specific information need. In this workshop, part of University Libraries’ Information Literacy Virtual Workshop Series, we will explore some of the challenges that students may encounter when searching for information, ranging from knowing where to start their search to identifying the types of information sources they find. We will provide examples of strategies and activities that instructors can use to support students’ ability to find and select information sources.

If you require an accommodation such as live captioning or interpretation to participate in this event, please email as soon as possible. Requests made at least one week prior to the event will generally allow us to provide seamless access, but the university will make every effort to meet requests made after this date.
