Donate Books

In an effort to keep our communities safe and following university coronavirus (COVID-19) protocols, book donations are temporarily suspended.

The Friends of the Libraries accept donations of gently used books. The donations are reviewed by the Libraries' collection strategy team, who determine if the books should be added to the Libraries' collection. If added to the Libraries' collection, these books provide enriching resources for students, faculty and the community.

Books that are not added to the collection are sent to Better World Books, which sells the books through several online sites. A portion of the profits are returned to the Friends of the Libraries to support and fund University Libraries' priorities.

Donations are accepted at University Libraries Tech Center located on Kinnear Road. Please contact Christen Ireland ( to arrange a drop-off time during regular hours, Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Please note that the Libraries are not able to accept encyclopedia sets, journals, magazines or Reader's Digest.
