Organizational Development and Culture
Organizational Development and Culture fosters a culture of care where employees are empowered to thrive, collaborate and lead. This division leads efforts to strengthen University Libraries’ organizational health by cultivating a values-based culture, investing in employee development and aligning internal practices with The Ohio State University’s strategic priorities

Strategic Partnerships and Initiatives
In collaboration with Human Resources, Marketing and Communications and other internal and external partners, the division supports recruitment, retention and professional growth strategies that enhance University Libraries’ ability to attract and support an effective organization. We bridge Libraries’ strategic directions with university-wide efforts related to staff, faculty and student engagement, leadership development and workplace effectiveness.

We provide leadership, coordination and consultation in areas such as:

  • Organizational culture and climate strategy

  • Strategic workforce development and learning

  • Recognition and community-building programs

  • Facilitation of culture-building initiatives

  • Support for University Libraries’ committees, workgroups and task forces

Leadership and Planning Support
As part of the senior leadership team, the Assistant Dean for Organizational Development and Culture helps nurtures strategic planning, thoughtful stewardship of resources and innovative development initiatives across University Libraries. Through this work, the division fosters intentional, transparent and participatory approaches to decision-making that reflect University Libraries’ values and mission.
