Summary
  • Sappo: John told Myrtle he is leaving but she sees him hanging around. John doesn't have a job, doesn't have any money and he is hungry. He can smell that Myrtle is baking ham. He begs her to give a poor hungry man a crust of bread. She opens the door and throws out a dozen crusts.
  • Thimble Theatre: Castor and Ham are stuck with a horse that is lazy with no energy. They decide they will try to sell it. Castor lies about the horse's disposition and sells it to a man. He tells him he can bring it back if he doesn't like it. The man brings the horse back but Castor tells him he didn't say he would take it back. The man wants his money but Castor doesn't have it. He beats up Castor and walks away.
