Summary |
- In 1978, Howard Brookner, director and film producer, interviewed William S. Burroughs for his film, titled “Burroughs: The Movie,” a documentary about Burroughs’ life and work. Side A: In this recording, dated October 23, 1978, there is a brief discussion about medical topics, including medical treatments and a doctor's theory that crawling is central to whole body integration. A short conversation about the Polish population in the United States and their customs follows. After this, Burroughs and Brookner explore Burroughs' history with firearms, discussing the weapons in Burroughs' collection and test-firing some as well. Side B: In this recording, the participants discuss a variety of topics including authorship, dog ownership and their reasons for it, and the Sasquatch, among them.
