Summary
  • Sappo: John and Myrtle are thankful for Mr. Squeem. He pays them for their ideas and he pays them one hundred a month for his room. Mr. Squeem comes up to John and asks to borrow a quarter. John is taken back and tells him to get out and vacate his room. Myrtle comes running in and Mr. Squeem tells her he has two thousand dollars in paper money but no coins. He needs to borrow a quarter to draw a circle.
  • Thimble Theatre: It is Christmas and Castor forgot to send his wife something. He stops in a nearby town and looks through all the fabric they have. He finally finds one that he says will have to do. As he is standing there he listens to the store owners radios. A news bulletin comes on that says the wife of Castor Oyl gets a divorce on grounds of desertion. He tells the store owners he doesn't want the fabric as he walks out of the store.
