Summary
  • Dagwood tells Blondie that a black cat walked in front of him on the way home from work. Blondie questions whether or not Dagwood believes in superstitions, which he emphatically denies. Blondie then tells Dagwood of an old wives tale to break the black cat's spell. They both laugh about how silly it is. Later, Dagwood waits for Blondie to fall asleep and goes outside to perform the ritual. Dagwood states that he's not taking any chances as a black cat sits against the silhouette of the moon on the backyard fence.
