James E. Pollard was a Professor Emeritus, Head of the Department of Journalism, and University Historian at Ohio State University. The James E. Pollard Papers contain materials of unpublished manuscripts, reprints of articles, and correspondence.

Pollard, historical sketches by Pollard, and The Journal of Jay Cooke by James E. Pollard. The collection also contains materials from the Archives Advisory Committee and other files related to the establishment of the University Archives.
