Professor Longenecker discusses her career at Ohio State University, growing up in California, and her education. She describes the beginning of the Women’s Studies program at Ohio State University and its development into a department, the National Women’s Studies Convention held at OSU in 1983, the atmosphere for women and minorities in the Department of English, and the role and obstacles of women faculty members on campus.
