Abstract
The Susan Hartmann Oral History Transcript and Compact Disc Recording contain a printed transcript and audio recordings of an oral history interview with Hartmann, conducted June 23, 2013. Hartmann discusses her career at as a professor of history at Ohio State University, including the transition from a Center for Women’s Studies, (of which she was a director), to a Department of Women’s Studies, and the role of women overall at Ohio State University.

Professor Hartmann discusses her career at Ohio State University, getting her doctorate in history from the University of Missouri thanks to an NDEA (National Defense Education Act) Fellowship, the transition from a Center for Women’s Studies to a Department of Women’s Studies, and her role in general as well as the role of women overall at Ohio State.
