The Ilse Welhelmi Oral History Transcript and Audiocassette Recordings contain a transcript and audiocassettes of an oral history interview with Ilse Wilhelmi conducted by Jay Ladd on November 7, 1984. Interview discussion topics include Welhelmi recalling the 1930s and 1940s as challenging times for the Libraries as there were shortages of staff and funds, the responsibility for Departmental Libraries, their expansion, the additions of the Annex and Stack Tower to the Main Library, and the 1952 fire in Lord Hall that was very destructive for library collections.
