Biographical / Historical Note
Thomas Ewing French (1871-1944) was a professor in the Department of Architecture and Drawing at Ohio State University. He became the second president of the Ohio State University Athletic Board in 1912, and is credited with conceiving the idea of the Ohio Stadium.
