Ohio State University's Office of Planning Studies began publishing reports in 1973, after a report on program budgeting was presented to the Ohio Board of Regents by George W. Baughman, Director of Special Projects. In 1985 it began publishing under the name Office of Campus Planning, and under Office of University Budget Planning in 1994. In 1995, it was known as the Office of University Budget & Space Planning. This was a separate unit from the Office of Campus Planning and Space Utilization.
