The Ohio State University Committee on Public Relations was appointed January 10, 1952, by Ohio State University President Howard Bevis, "to study the entire problem of relations between the University and the public, with a view to the establishment of a long-range program" to "acquaint the public with the aims, methods, and functions of the University." The committee met in the winter and spring quarters of 1952, and produced a report outlining suggested improvements the University could make in public relations.
