Ohio State University Archives Subject File: Office of the President

William Henry Scott (1840-1937) became the third president of The Ohio State University in 1883. During his administration several departments were added, including the School of Pharmacy (1885), the Department of Ceramics (1894), and the School of Law (1891). Scott resigned in 1895 after twelve years as President, and taught philosophy at Ohio State University until his retirement in 1910.
