It also contains files from the Home Economics Alumni Society, the successor to the Alumni Association. The collection contains files from the Placement Office concerning the history of home economics at Ohio State University, anniversary celebrations and following up with graduates of the home economics programs.

The Ohio State University, Home Economics Placement Office and Alumni Affairs was an office of the School of Home Economics that facilitated job placement and maintained the School's alumni records and network. It was established between in 1945 and 1955. The office was originally called the Home Economics Placement Office and was one of many placement offices on campus. Alumni affairs was later added to the office and then separated again at some point. This office may have been known as the "Home Economics Career Placement Office" in the mid-1980s. The Ohio State University Home Economics (HEC) Alumni Association, later known as the Home Economics Alumni Society, was organized in 1946 as an official part of the Ohio State University Association.
