In 1955 the Ohio State University College of Agriculture signed an agreement with the United States International Cooperation Administration to provide educational assistance to Punjab and Rajasthan, India. In 1964, a Ford Foundation grant of $650,000 furthered the Department of Agricultural Engineering's involvement in aiding the development of the College of Agricultural Engineering at Punjab Agricultural University. Several department faculty served international assignments in India, and faculty from Punjab Agricultural University came to Ohio State University to obtain advanced degrees or study the educational system.
