The Ohio State University, College of Agriculture and Home Economics, Assistant Dean for Fiscal Affairs Records contains budgets, particularly for the Agricultural Extension, salary rolls, and service reports, dated 1941-1963. A College of Agriculture was first officially established at Ohio State University in 1896.

Biographical / Historical Note
The Ohio State University began offering courses in agriculture at its founding in 1870. In 1896, six colleges were formed out of the University’s schools, officially establishing a College of Agriculture and Domestic Science, later known as just the College of Agriculture. In 1958, the Board of Trustees changed the name to the College of Agriculture and Home Economics, joining the two areas of study.
