The Cliff Dickey Papers, dated 2007, contain a compact disc with photographs Cliff Dickey took while he served as an electronics technician at the Amundsen Scott South Pole Station during Operation Deep Freeze II (1956-1957). The images feature the equipment and supplies used during the operation, the Antarctic landscape, interior rooms at the station, and Dickey and other expedition members socializing and playing games. The photographs were originally taken in 1957. This collection also includes a paper copy of the images that are on the compact disc, and Dickey wrote captions under each image in order to identify the names of people, equipment, and buildings. Weather data sheets are also included amongst the images.
