The "Famous Masons" Medals for Admiral Richard E. Byrd Issued by the Scottish Rite, Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, consist of two commemorative medals created in 2000 by the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, as well as a pamphlet with a short biography of Byrd in it that was distributed with the medals. From 1992 to 2001 the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction produced a yearly "Famous Masons" series of medals that were each created in honor of a famous Freemason.

The medals are identical, other than one being made of silver metal and the other made of gold. One side depicts a bust of Byrd, along with his name, years of birth and death, Masonic Square and Compass, and the year of production, 2000. The other side states the full name of Freemasonry and the Northern Masonic Jurisdiction, and also depicts the Masonic double-headed eagle.
