Bulletin Board Policy

Use of library bulletin boards

  • Designated public bulletin boards are the only places in or around University Libraries locations on which materials may be posted. Materials posted in other locations will be removed and discarded. Some of these boards may be assigned for library displays and will be labeled for library use only.
  • Postings by any group must show evidence of affiliation with The Ohio State University. 
  • Items must not be larger than 8.5" x 11”. 
  • Do not use staples or tape to affix items.
  • Items must be dated and can remain posted no longer than 2 weeks. The library staff will remove any undated flyers as well as outdated materials. 
  • Multiple copies of any given posting will be removed and discarded. Materials placed over any existing material will be removed and discarded. 
  • All materials must be on the bulletin boards, any material hanging outside the board will be removed and discarded.
  • Commercial advertising or promotion of any commercial business will be removed and discarded.
  • Any posting that conflicts with university policy will be removed. Postings deemed inappropriate by library staff will be removed.
