The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation announced more than $21 million in new grants through its Grand Challenges Explorations initiative. The Grand Challenges in Global Health initiative is accepting letters of inquiry for the new grant program TB Vaccine Accelerator. This program seeks to develop models of natural Mycobacterium tuberculosis transmission, define key transmission properties, and develop new approaches to vaccination that will protect against infection. Letters of inquiry are being accepted online until November 26, 2012 at 11:59 a.m. Pacific Time.
