Liaison Librarian for the Department of Human Sciences and Human Ecology Tracey Overbey has invited Dr. Tonya Orchard from the Department of Human Sciences to speak on Chronic Inflammation in a free program July 26 at the Thompson Library.
Dr. Tonya Orchard is a registered dietitian with more than 20 years of experience in clinical nutrition, nutrition counseling and consulting. She is currently the director of the Didactic Program in Dietetics and an assistant professor of human nutrition at The Ohio State University. Her research examines dietary components that modify chronic inflammation, with a focus on fatty acids in bone and joint diseases, and prevention of inflammatory side effects of chemotherapy with diet.
The program will be Thursday, July 26, 2 p.m. in room 150A of the Thompson Library.
