Pamela S. Bradigan, MS, JD, assistant vice president, Health Sciences, director of the Health Sciences Library (HSL), and professor, University Libraries, is retiring after more than 35 years of exemplary service to the university, the Wexner Medical Center and the health sciences library profession. Bradigan’s last day in her position will be May 31.
Library resources, spaces and librarian skills have transformed significantly over Professor Bradigan’s career. With her leadership and passion for serving the healthcare community, the HSL has expanded collaborations with health sciences colleges and increased support of and engagement in the research and clinical missions.
Lynda Hartel, MLS, will serve as interim director and assistant vice president beginning June 1. Hartel, who received her Master of Science in Library and Information Management at Emporia State University in 1991, currently serves as the associate director, Health Sciences Library and associate professor, University Libraries. Professor Hartel has supervised numerous services and programs for the library over the past 25 years.
