I’m happy to report the IT Division’s progress on the first week of work using the results from the Project Prioritization process that we inaugurated last week.
Cartoons Redesign
We have provisioned servers, laid plans for DNS changes, practiced our migration scripts, and put worked through most of the major code issues. We will have some work to do for the launch planned for next week, but should be ready for deployment.
DSpace Rest API
We are very excited to have done a soft-launch of a REST API for the Knowledge Bank. This is potentially a very powerful tool, but our first goal is to use it to speed up some slow website navigation.
eResource Statistics Reporting
We met with Nicole Collier and Joanna Voss to examine what kinds of data is available from our proxy service and how we can get it in their hands in a usable and useful manner. We agreed on some first steps and will be moving forward in some exploratory steps.
HathiTrust Access
We have been working with partners throughout the organization to arrange appropriate access for OSU Patrons in the Hathi Trust repository.
Next Week
- Patron Data Load – Updating and streamlining the way in which OSU Patron Data is updated from the authoritative source, generally PeopleSoft into the Libraries’ ILMS.
- Migrate CyberSource – Updating our eCommerce web pages to our service provider’s recommended solution.
