Carousels, Drop-Down Menus, and Forms: Little Known Features of OSUL Blogs
Wednesday, May 13th, 2-3pm, 070/090 18th Avenue Library

Join Beth Snapp for a survey of features you probably didn’t know were available in WordPress, OSUL’s blogging platform. Topics will also include: getting started with a brand new blog, creating posts and pages, embedding media, and a list of things to check before you click that Publish button. Both novice and experienced bloggers are encouraged to attend.

Beyond the Nuts and Bolts: Blogs As Publishing
Wednesday, May 27th, 2-3pm, Thompson Library Room 150

Melanie Schlosser will share strategies for effective blogging, and will walk you through the process of designing a blog to support your program or project. This workshop is geared towards current blog owners as well as those interested in blogging, and will include ideas and examples to get your creative juices flowing!

The workshops are scheduled to last an hour, but the facilitators will be available for another half hour for one-on-one consultations. The workshops are designed to complement each other, so we encourage you to sign up for both, but it’s fine to take one or the other.

If there is enough interest, we may offer these workshops again. If you can’t make it this time but would be interested in a future iteration, please email Melanie Schlosser (schlosser.40).
