NewsNotes posts are first published on the OSULStaff blog. If you would like to receive an email as soon as an article is posted, here’s how to subscribe.
1. Go to https://library.osu.edu/site/osulstaff/.
2. At the bottom of the blog home page, you will see a Subscribe to Blog form:
3. Enter your email address and click Subscribe.
4. You will receive an email to confirm your subscription. Click on the button/link Confirm Email within the email to follow the blog. If you don’t receive the email, check your Junk or Spam folder.
5. You will receive another email confirming that you confirmed the subscription and providing you with a button/link for managing your subscriptions. If you don’t receive the email, check your Junk folder.
Now, each time a new post is added to the OSULStaff blog, you will get an email like this one:
Note: you only get one email at the time a new post is added. You will not get additional emails if the content of a post is changed.
Changing your Subscription Settings
If you want to make sure you have been subscribed or if you would prefer to receive a daily digest of news items instead of an email for each post, you can manage your subscriptions by going to subscribe.wordpress.com.
- On this page enter the email address you used to signup, click the Request Details button:
2. You will receive an email with a link to click that will allow you to manage your subscriptions. If you don’t receive an email, check your spam folder.
3. On the Subscription Management page, you should see all of the blogs that you follow. You can use this same page to Unfollow a blog.
4. You can change Delivery Frequency. There is a dropdown menu which allows you to choose ‘Immediate’, ‘Daily’ or ‘Weekly’ delivery.
Not Sure you are Subscribed?
WordPress sends a confirmation email the first time someone tries to subscribe to a blog via the signup form. It won’t send a confirmation link subsequent times however. So, if you happen to miss the first confirmation email or you just want to check that you are subscribed, go to subscribe.wordpress.com. Just enter the email address you used to signup and it’ll show your subscriptions and pending subscriptions.
