The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum is happy to engage classes from any discipline who are interested in learning more about their subject matter through the lens of cartoon art.

University Libraries instruction will be held virtually for the Spring semester. We are able to offer a range of remote learning possibilities, including access to pre-recorded lectures, live stream talks featuring a show-and-tell of collection materials, or resource and database guidance. For more information, or to discuss an exception for an in-person class visit, contact cartoons@osu.edu

To schedule a class at The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum, contact us at cartoons@osu.edu and include:

  • The name of the requesting institution
  • Course title and number (for Ohio State University classes)
  • Purpose and/or goals for the class visit
  • Two to three suggested dates for your session
  • Number of students

We require a minimum of one month in advance to arrange a class.

If you are interested in viewing specific materials, visit our Explore the Collections page to locate the object title, creator, and finding number or consult with a library staff member. Please include this information in your class request email.
