Oral Histories

The OSU Oral History Program documents the history of The Ohio State University by interviewing faculty members and administrators, as well as former students. Ultimately, the goal is to collect information that is unavailable in traditional print sources and to preserve the history of the university for future generations of researchers.

The products of the interviews – transcripts, abstracts, tapes, CDs, audio files, etc. – are the property of The Ohio State University Archives. Individual transcripts, tapes and audio files will become available to researchers as they are completed, and a list of individuals with links to their records in the KnowledgeBank (OSU Libraries' digital repository) will be placed on this web site. Abstracts included in the KnowledgeBank entries are based on the transcripts and include a summary section, leading themes, and individuals mentioned.

For more information, please contact the University Archives.
