四大公害事件　Four Big Pollution Incidents

There were four big pollution incidents including the Minamata disease in 1950s and 1960s during the period of rapid economic growth of Japan. Other three incidents are the second Minamata disease in Niigata prefecture, Itai Itai disease in Toyama prefecture (caused by cadmium poisoning), and Yokkaichi Asthma (caused by air pollution).
