Collection Managers' Forum
October 15, 2003
DRAFT***DRAFT****DRAFT***DRAFT****DRAFT
Goals:
- Move to electronic continuations for access and archiving (OhioLink strategy); keep print for archiving when the electronic is unavailable/not archived
- Postpone another continuation cancellation project
- Minimize continuation cost inflation damage on the budget
- Maximize collection manager control of the budget
- Permanently available/archived electronic continuations
A. Central (-3) funds will cover the continuing costs of one electronic copy.
- If a print continuation moves to e-format, or when we obtain a duplicate electronic version of a continuation received in print,
- only the electronic title will be transferred to central (-3) funds and subsequent prices increases covered;
- any print copies of the title will thereafter be funded annually with new continuation (-4) funds of the requesting collection manager(s)].
- Not permanently available/archived electronic continuations
