PC Locks up When Trying To Release
Your Password Protected ScreenSaver

We’ve had the following scenario:
You’re away from your desk for a bit. You return and find that your password-protected screensaver has activated. You do a Ctrl+Alt+Del, type your password in the appropriate spot on the resulting screen and.... absolutely nothing happens for a few minutes and then you get this:

Error message: Netware Server connection lost

Click "OK" to close this window, and you’ll be back at your "locked workstation" screen.

Click on the nudge button at the end of the "From: NDS" box. SEE BIG ARROW ON GRAPHIC:

Arrow points to dropdown menu button in dialog box

You’ll get a small drop down list; one entry is "Windows". Click on the "Windows" entry. This "unlock screen" will change a bit; that’s OK.

Make sure your password is still there and then click "OK". Your screen saver should release.

NOTE: I can’t get screen captures of these screens, so these are replicas created in Paint. They’re not exact, but should get you squared around.
