We would like to propose that the Designated Fund also help with other expenses collection managers may have in growing, promoting, and preserving the Libraries’ collections. *Please note that some of the sub-funds are limited to acquisition purchases per the donors’ request this includes FSCH and FBEN. If you are unsure if your sub-fund is restricted, please feel welcome to contact me.

Collection managers can arrange to use their Friends Designated Fund for services or supplies not related to acquisitions: if there is enough free balance in your sub-fund as reported by Felix; and if the expense is $500.00 or greater. When planning for an expense, please contact me either in writing or email (tippie.13@osu.edu) to discuss the purpose and how it relates to the betterment of your collection or library. You do not need to inform me of an acquisitions purchase.

Once you have received an invoice or cost estimate, please send the paperwork to me (keeping a copy for your records) so that I may process the payment with the Library Business Office. A copy of the paperwork will be sent to Sheryl Williams to deduct the expense from the appropriate sub-fund.

We hope that this adjustment will provide you, the collection managers, more resources for funding unique opportunities.
