• CATALOGING DEPARTMENT (CAT):

  --Magda El-Sherbini, Head: The Cataloging Department is responsible for complex copy cataloging and original cataloging of monographs; all cataloging for non-Roman languages, theses, non-book formats such as videos and microforms; authority control; database maintenance; and other cataloging projects.

• ACQUISITIONS DEPARTMENT (ACQ):

  --Dracine Hodges, Head: The Acquisitions Department is responsible for monograph firm ordering, claiming, receipt and copy cataloging, as well as for approval management, receipt and copy cataloging. It is also responsible for serials ordering, claiming, receipt, and copy cataloging, as well as for electronic resources acquisitions, access, licensing and copy cataloging.

• SCHOLARLY RESOURCES INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT (SRI):

  --Tschera Harkness Connell, Head: The Scholarly Resources Integration Department is responsible for cataloging serials and electronic resources; administrative support & web site maintenance and metadata support for the Libraries' digital initiatives, including the Knowledge Bank.
