SCCAT hosted Lisa Wood, a practicum student, beginning in June.
Lisa updated links and made other changes in records for both the OSU and Polar Oral History Program Projects. Beth corrected coding errors in OSU Archives records created in 1994, but only recently discovered.
Anca cataloged two bins of foreign language comic books and serials from the collection. Mary finished two shelves of very old backlog material and new materials are caught up. She also created item records for serials.
Joan and Mary cataloged titles from the collection, working on the backlog since new acquisitions are caught up. They continue to contribute names to NACO.
SCCAT began cataloging material for the Historic Costume and Textile Collection for the first time. Beth worked with Nancy Helmick to set up the necessary location codes, and Lisa prepared to create records for several swatch books in the collection.
Natalyia cataloged materials from the Milos Velimirovic collection, as well as items from the Jaksa and Biljana Djalevich "Serbian library,” gift books and new acquisitions. She continued to make progress on the microfiches of 18th and 19th Slavic titles.
Pat finished the last titles from the Early Paperback Collection. He cataloged materials (mostly in-analytics) from the Raymond Carver, Avant Writing collections, some cookbooks, and contemporary fiction. He also worked with Sang Kyo, who cataloged Sam Hammill collection materials, cookbooks, books from the Lillian Schwartz collection, and material from the Fine Arts special collection being transferred to Rare Books.
Anca cataloged French language books from the Charles G. S. Williams collection.
Anca began cataloging the Dance Notation Bureau Collection. She completed the books (all of which were in Hungarian) and approximately half the notation scores. She also completed small projects or rush items as they came up.
Joan began working on approximately 40 boxes of materials sent from Twyla Tharp. They are being processed at Ackerman, so Joan is doing item-level cataloging of this material in the office. She also worked on the usual French and Dramatists titles and new titles.
Natalyia cataloged printed materials in Slavic languages from several collections (Jerome Lawrence and Robert E. Lee, Norris Houghton, Jarka Burian, Robert Slusser, and Sylvia Westerman) along with gift books. This brings cataloging of Slavic language materials at TRI up to date.
Nataliya attended Boolean training. Beth attended the RBMS Preconference, where she organized and participated in a seminar, and the ALA Annual Conference. She also participated in the ARL Project Management Training offered at OSUL.
