  1. Tom Cetwinski was introduced and spoke about his plans to involve collection managers in distributing information about the Knowledge Bank to faculty and departments. He will be asking people to serve on various groups advising the Knowledge Bank project on policy, procedures, marketing, and cost analysis.

  2. Jim Bracken gave an update on CIRM and CIC activities, including the OhioLINK budget, the removal of netLibrary records, and various deals offered to either OhioLINK or the CIC. The question was raised: does OSU need its own e-book strategy?

  3. Jim Bracken handed out a chart showing the distribution of the materials budget between continuations and monographs. This will be presented to collection managers at the upcoming forum to help people understand why the "1" funds may be lower than expected.

  4. There was considerable discussion on a proposed change in funding strategy for duplicate subscriptions, to be discussed at the upcoming forum also.
