Announcement
Carol announced that the last copy retention policy is still in effect and will send a reminder message to collection managers.
Allocations Review
The committee reviewed a draft memo re: Review of Current Allocations. Members suggested adding that all managers must respond even if they do not apply for more funds. The process will be discussed at the Collection Managers Forum on February 21, and fund reports for collections will be passed out. Applications for more funds will be due April 1 and will be discussed in the May CAC meeting. Pred volunteered to revise the fake Psychology sample report.
Main Library Renovation and Collections
July 1, 2005 is the proposed start date for Main renovation, but it is only an estimate at this time.
April/May 2001 is the estimated start date for construction of module 2 of the Book Depository; the finish date is Dec/Jan 2002.
Donna DeGeorge's staff can process 20,000 items/month. Committee members thought it would be good to know the "filled" and "not filled" rate for Depository items.
Other than standing arrangements, it was suggested that department libraries should not send materials to the Depository until module 2 is completed to make sure Main materials have priority.
Some materials from department libraries (like paper copies of ejournals) might need to go into temporary (inaccessible) storage.
One Time Funding
The call for one-time funding is due 2/22/01 and will be reviewed at the March 8 meeting
Respectfully submitted, Linda Krikos, 2/19/01.
