Creating a new record based on existing record

When copy is available for a similar item, it may be edited and submitted to OCLC database. In most cases this will occur when preparing a record for the same author/title published in a different formats (e.g., photocopy, microforms, edition). Make sure that you are not duplicating an existing OCLC record (see OCLC guideline for when to input a new record)
Follow the procedure listed below when you create :NEW" record based on member copy.
1) Move the cursor to home position and typ the word new
2) Move the cursor to the fixed filed and fill out all the missing field giving particular attention to Repr (reproduction), Lang (language), Desc (description), Source, Dat typ (type of date), and Dates.
3) Make other corrections and changes giving particular attention to the followings:

5) Produce and export the record
