HIGHLIGHTS - APRIL 1999 MONTHLY REPORT
As many of you may have hear, Hannah Thomas has resigned effective July 2,1999. Although her last working day will be July 2, Hannah will be wrapping up most of her work by June 2. Hannah has done a fabulous job of building the non-existent Special Collections Cataloging Dept. and working very collaboratively with the curators of the Special Collections libraries. She is a great loss to the library and in particular, I will miss her very articulate and useful skills at expressing complex cataloging issues in layman's terms. A search committee is being formed and job description being written.
Six interviews for two TS positions will occur in the next two weeks (Serials Coordinator and Non-Roman Coordinator). We are very excited about the candidates for these positions and hope that we will have these new folks on board by the end of the summer.
