HIGHLIGHTS - APRIL 2000 MONTHLY REPORT
CORC Update
The CORC Project is nearing completion in its trial phase. Tschera Connell, Project leader, will be drafting a final report for the working group's review at its 5/30 meeting. A key element to making final recommendations for how to proceed will come as a result of a series of forums on e-resources which will be held in the next few months. The first forum has been scheduled by Mary Scott for Public Services in early May. Subsequent forums will help us refine the purpose of web pages and OSCAR so that we can determine what role CORC will play in our processing plans.
Serial vendors
Final negotiations have been completed to move the existing Dawson/Faxon serials account to EBSCO beginning with subscriptions on 1/1/01. The SER Dept. will spend considerable energy in the next 6 months and beyond getting records transferred etc. T. Davis will be giving a more detailed discussion of the issues in forthcoming meetings such as the 5/24 CM Forum.
